All Japanese learned English writing and Speaking When they were junior high school students. But,it is said that Japanese are poorer at speaking it than any other countries people. In my case, I haven't used it since I studied in a college.(my university is low rank;;) Actually I'm making this writing with a so fat dictionary. I wish this site warmed more!
Try to watch tv shows and movies in english. Documentals, games and speeches are useful too. Check also scientific papers if you are studying. -(248 KB)
>>4 I think you have that backwards. Watch tv/film in English with Japanese subtitles and you'll understand it. It's also the best way to familiarize yourself with English idioms other than speaking with natives for a protracted period.

If you do that 10 hours a day, you'll be able to jump to the next steps every 3 months or so. so that makes it 9 month to learn english.
